Position Summary

As a Product Designer at Firm360, you will partner with the Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to bring product ideas to life in ways that are intuitive, delightful, and simple to use. This role requires expertise not only in experience design but also in deep collaboration with stakeholders, team members, and customers. This is not a pure visual design role, as you will be expected to help shape the product, understand requirements, explore customer needs, and ultimately implement product enhancements in collaboration with the engineering team. To say it another way, this isn’t a role where you create mockups and move on. This is a delivery role. You’ll be embedded with the team, iterating rapidly, making real-time design decisions, and ensuring what we ship is a joy to use.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate daily with engineers to translate product requirements into simple, elegant user experiences
  
• Design user interfaces and interactions that make complex workflows feel effortless
  
• Move fast and iterate — creating low-to-mid fidelity designs that keep the team unblocked and shipping
  
• Champion simplicity — questioning every feature, screen, and click to ensure the leanest possible solution
  
• Validate designs with real users through quick prototypes, user testing, and feedback loops
  
• Maintain design consistency across the platform without over-engineering design systems
  
• Balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints to deliver pragmatic solutions
  
• Think end-to-end — from initial concept through implementation and iteration based on usage data
  
• Partner closely with Product Management to shape problems, collaborate on discovery, define success metrics, and pressure-test requirements before engineering work begins
  
• Translate product strategy into shippable experiences by breaking initiatives into clear, prioritized design and delivery increments that balance user value, business impact, and technical realities
  
• Own experience design decisions for major product areas, partnering with Product and Engineering to align on scope and trade-offs

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of product design experience — ideally at startups or fast-paced product teams
• Strong UI/UX fundamentals — you know what makes interfaces intuitive and can articulate your design decisions
• Comfort with ambiguity —you can start with rough requirements and work through uncertainty with the team
• Low ego, high collaboration — you thrive working directly with engineers and product managers, not in isolation
• Bias toward simplicity — your instinct is to cut, not add; to simplify, not complicate
• Practical tools mindset — Figma proficiency required, but you know when a whiteboard sketch is enough
• Self-directed — you can manage your own time, prioritize effectively, and ship without heavy oversight
• Domain curiosity — willingness to learn about accounting and practice management (we’ll teach you!)
• Passion for building tools for productivity and business operations
• Experience with user research and usability testing
• (BONUS) Ability to write code to help bridge the gap between design and engineering
