About Firm360
Firm360 is a fast-growing SaaS company delivering an all-in-one practice management platform purpose-built for accounting firms. We help firms streamline operations, improve efficiency, and deliver a better experience to their clients. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Product Owner to support our growth by defining product requirements, prioritizing the development backlog, and collaborating with engineering and design teams to deliver customer-centric solutions..
Position Summary
As the Product Owner, you’ll work across our entire platform — from document management and time tracking to client portals and integrations — translating customer needs into detailed requirements, validating new features, triaging issues, and helping ensure every release delivers real value. Reporting directly to our Head of Product, you’ll be the bridge between our vision and execution, transforming user needs into clear, actionable deliverables that move the product forward. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong communication skills, ownership mentality, attention to detail, and a bias for action.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Writing & Documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, CS, and Sales to gather and refine requirements.
- Write clear, detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases that consider user behavior, system complexity, and technical constraints.
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, workflows, and industry nuances to inform product decisions.
- Document the current state of the product in our internal knowledge base to help Engineering, Support, and QA understand how features work today.
- Ensure that requirements reflect Firm360’s product pillars: Purpose-Built, User-Focused, Cohesive, Relentless, and Insightful.
Backlog Ownership & Roadmap Execution
- Own the product backlog: continuously refine, prioritize, and groom with strategic intent.
- Balance the roadmap between new enhancements and existing bug fixes based on customer impact, urgency, and technical input.
- Collaborate with Engineering leads to align sprint planning, prioritize effectively, and coordinate smooth, high-quality releases.
- Ensure backlog items are technically feasible, testable, and aligned with product vision.
- Facilitate release readiness — working closely with QA, Customer Success, and Marketing to prepare go-to-market documentation and internal enablement for feature launches.
Testing, Triage & Release Readiness
- Perform hands-on UAT (User Acceptance Testing) of release candidates to validate requirements and proactively catch issues before customers do.
- Partner with Customer Success and Support to investigate and triage bugs, usage questions, and edge cases reported by users.
- Help define and validate bug reports and prioritize fixes appropriately alongside enhancements.
- Ensure all releases are scoped, validated, and documented for a smooth deployment.
Communication & Agile Ceremonies
- Provide ongoing visibility into product priorities and release status to cross-functional teams.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
- Communicate tradeoffs, timelines, and expectations clearly, balancing customer needs with development capacity.
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst role in a SaaS environment.
- Strong track record of writing user stories and requirements for complex software products
- Deep experience managing a backlog in Agile environments
- Experience working closely with QA and performing hands-on testing/UAT
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Empathy for end-users and a customer-first mindset.
- Familiarity with accounting workflows or professional services firms is a strong plus
- Bonus: experience with AI tooling or an interest in applying AI to productivity and product strategy.
- Ability to wear multiple hats and thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.
- Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment

- Your work will directly impact the daily experience of thousands of users and help firms run more efficient, modern practices.
