About the Role

The Account Manager, Nonprofit is responsible for driving revenue growth within our existing portfolio of nonprofit customers. As part of the Install Base Fundraising Solutions team, you will build strong relationships with nonprofit clients, understand their fundraising and engagement goals, and position our solutions to help them achieve greater impact.

You will manage a book of business, identify opportunities for renewal, expansion, and deeper engagement, and act as a trusted advisor to customers as they grow their fundraising programs.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Own a portfolio of nonprofit clients and serve as their primary point of contact for sales-related needs.

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders — development directors, fundraising managers, advancement teams, and executive leadership.

  • Gain deep understanding of each organization's fundraising model, challenges, and opportunities.

Revenue Growth & Retention

  • Meet or exceed revenue targets by driving renewals, cross-sells, and upsells within the install customer base.

  • Develop strategic account plans to expand product utilization and increase customer ROI.

  • Proactively identify at-risk accounts and partner internally to secure renewals.

  • Leverage usage data and insights to uncover expansion opportunities.

Consultative Selling

  • Conduct discovery to understand nonprofit clients’ fundraising and supporter engagement needs.

  • Package and present solutions that help clients improve donor acquisition, retention, and campaign performance.

  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, and Professional Services to ensure smooth implementation and long-term value.

Engagement Strategy Support

  • Guide nonprofit clients on best practices in fundraising campaigns and supporter engagement using our tools.

  • Provide consultative recommendations that align with industry trends, platform capabilities, and client goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in the CRM.

  • Analyze account performance and generate actionable insights for ongoing relationship growth.

  • Contribute feedback to product and marketing teams to enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2–4+ years of experience in account management, B2B sales, customer success, or revenue roles.

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations or selling into the nonprofit sector.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate client needs into solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills—comfortable with presentations, facilitation, and relationship building.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and modern sales tech.

Preferred

  • Experience with fundraising platforms, CRM/engagement tools.

  • Understanding of nonprofit fundraising strategies, donor lifecycle, and campaign best practices.

  • Ability to analyze customer data and convert insights into actionable account strategies.
