About the Role
The Demo Engineer is an entry-level, non-exempt individual contributor responsible for supporting the Solutions Architecture team through the maintenance, preparation, and execution of high-quality assets needed for product demonstrations. This role performs routine, recurring assignments by following standard procedures and written directions, while developing foundational knowledge of Bonterra products, systems, and demo methodologies. The Demo Engineer directly impacts the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of demos, demo data, and supporting documentation that contribute to sales effectiveness and brand credibility.
Essential Functions
Maintains and refreshes demo environments including entering and updating time-based data, cleaning out outdated actions and records, updating dates, workflows, and configurations to reflect current-state use cases
Performs routine demo-support assignments that are recurring in nature, following standard procedures and written directions.
Collects, manipulates, and organizes demo data to support task completion, problem solving, and internal requests.
Supports team and cross-functional projects within a defined area of responsibility.
Build and configure custom demos aligned to prospect, industry, and solution-specific requirements
Build, update, and maintain Guided Click-Through demos within demo click tools
Assist with preparation, dry runs, and live support for marketing webinars, demos, and virtual events
Fulfill ongoing marketing and pre-sales requests related to screenshots, recordings and demo narratives
Maintain and update the RFP content library using provided standardized product and Bonterra language
Support RFP and proposal response efforts by ensuring demo-related content is accurate, current, and reusable
Maintain organized demo documentation, naming conventions, and version control

OUTCOME EXPECTATIONS – THE “IMPACT”
Impacts the accuracy, organization, and effectiveness of retained demo documentation, records, and demo environments.
Reduces friction for Solutions Architects and Sales by ensuring demo enviornments are clean, current, and presentation-ready.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with structured data
Ability to follow documented processes and execute repeatable tasks reliably
Basic technical aptitude and interest in SaaS platforms and systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Interest in career growth in the Solution Architecture space
Preferred Qualifications
Prior or current experience working with nonprofit, public sector, or corporate social responsibility roles
Exposure to SaaS demos, pre-sales, sales engineering, or marketing operations
Familiarity with CRM, demo automation, or RFP tools (e.g., Loopio, Consensus)
Interest in progressing toward Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales roles

Compensation and benefits for this role apply to full-time employees in the United States and may vary based on local standards, laws and norms.
