As a Product Designer on Bonterra’s fundraising software team, you’ll lead design work within a dedicated product pod—bringing structure, clarity, and creativity to complex challenges. Reporting to the Director of Product Design and Research, you’ll collaborate across disciplines, contribute meaningfully to product direction, and turn user insights into accessible, scalable experiences that make fundraising easier and more effective.
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end design work for product features, from initial research and concepting through polished execution.
Translate product goals and user needs into design solutions using flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
Break down complex design problems into simple, elegant, and actionable experiences.
Contribute to product road mapping by advocating for user needs and shaping scope through design-led discovery.
Partner closely with engineers and product managers to align on vision, feasibility, and delivery timelines.
Use research, usability testing, and performance data to validate your work and iterate with confidence.
Leverage and improve upon a shared design system to ensure consistency and efficiency across experiences.
Who You Are:
You’re a thoughtful and self-driven designer who can confidently own a problem space, guide a design process, and collaborate with cross-functional peers to deliver great work. You’re energized by mission, curious about your users, and committed to accessibility, craft, and continuous improvement.
You care deeply about usability, accessibility, and inclusive design—and are driven by creating systems that deliver real, meaningful impact for diverse users in the real world.
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience designing interactive digital products, ideally within SaaS or nonprofit tooling.
Ability to independently lead design projects within a team, while contributing to shared direction and systems.
Ability to communicate your thinking clearly and open to feedback from diverse stakeholders.
Experience using Figma for everything from exploration to polished mockups, and familiar with working in a design system.
Knowledgeable on how to frame design decisions using research, user feedback, and data—and you iterate quickly.
Eager to explore and adopt emerging tools—such as ChatGPT, V0, and Lovable—to enhance your workflow, support rapid iteration, and collaborate more effectively with engineering and product teams to bring ideas to life.
