What you'll do:

As a GIS Analyst at our Vacasa team in Prague, you will play a critical role in leveraging geographic data to drive business insights, improve operational efficiency, and support our sales organization. Analysts at Vacasa collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to Sales, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Finance to extract, analyze, and maintain data from various sources.

As a GIS Analyst, your role includes:

  • Utilizing GIS tools to create interactive maps, spatial analyses, and data-driven insights to improve efficiency of our teams.
  • Developing and maintaining geodatabases containing property information, legal requirements, and market data to facilitate spatial analysis and reporting.
  • Conducting location-based analyses to identify new market opportunities, assess competitive landscapes, and optimize property distribution across key destinations.
  • Providing geospatial support for property acquisition, site selection, and expansion efforts by performing Total Addressable Market Analysis and assessments of sales coverage.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials using geospatial data.
  • Cooperating with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and visualize geospatial data.

Skills you'll need:

  • University background in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Geodesy, Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 2+ years of experience working as a GIS Analyst or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of spatial analysis techniques and cartographic principles
  • Experience working with geodatabases, spatial data formats, and web mapping technologies (e.g., ArcGIS Online, Google Maps API)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
