What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an Indirect Tax Supervisor to support and guide the Indirect Chile Tax Team. For this candidate to be successful, they must understand US indirect tax, be highly self-motivated and directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous growth and improvement. This is a position that must be able to set the standard for integrity and professionalism, while interacting with a diverse team.

What You’ll Do
- Supervise the Chile tax team and company’s indirect taxes including sales, use, accommodation, hotel/motel, transient occupancy, room, gross receipts.
- Manage teams’ cadence to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitor and assist with team tickets, emails, and notices.
- Improve the efficiency of tax processes and controls through technology.
- Research tax concepts and apply them to tax fillings and processes.
- Actively evaluate information for hospitality filings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review complex/intermediate work and guide tax accountants.
- Ensure team’s compliance with SOX controls, team procedures, and company policies.
- Help set team goals and team metrics.
- Meet with team members weekly and mentor career growth.
- Support various business initiatives to assist with growth and indirect tax compliance.
- Educate and train team members on various indirect tax concepts.
- Other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
The Skills You’ll Need
- Previous travel or industry related experience is preferred
- Bilingual English / Spanish required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
- 7+ years of experience relevant tax experience
- Prior US tax experience or public accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of indirect tax
- Ability to succeed in ambiguity
- Highly organized and thorough
- Deadline driven
- Strong people manager/ team leader
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel and Google apps for business
- Flexibility and responsiveness to change

Travel
- Travel required for 10-25% of the time
Physical Demands
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance.

Compensation
- $40659788 - $60989682 CLP / year. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.
