What we’re looking for

In this role you will bring your depth of expertise in talent development, engagement, analytics, and DE&I to create practical solutions that enable a healthy company culture and drive organizational effectiveness. You will design, build and program manage critical areas in our people organization including, performance management, employee engagement, talent and leadership development, DE&I, and people analytics. The right candidate has a passion for building a strong company culture with a strong focus on engaging and developing talent.

What you’ll do

Talent, Culture, and DEI strategy

  • Based on Vacasa’s mission, purpose, and strategic objectives create a holistic talent, culture, and DEI strategy that enables high performance, learning, collaboration, innovation, and belonging
  • Create and deploy learning programs to a dispersed employee population; including partnering cross functionally to deliver compliance related learning
  • In partnership with key stakeholders, create, implement, evolve, and communicate our annual talent calendar, including our performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement cycles
  • Partner with key stakeholders, People & Culture (P&C) leadership, and Business Intelligence to create a people dashboard that provides actionable people data for leaders; as owner of people analytics ensure relevant data is available timely to support decision making

Succession Planning and Emerging Leader Development

  • Establish a cadence to identify, discuss, and create action plans for key talent within our organization
  • Curate and deploy programs that ensure a strong pipeline of emerging leaders are ready for future leadership positions within our organization; ensure that all programs align with our business strategy, as well as company competencies and values
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership and Board of Directors about our talent pipeline and actions taken to ensure readiness of future positions; partner with P&C peers and leadership to review talent pipeline data ensuring equity

Performance Management

  • Develop and implement a performance management strategy designed to create high performing teams that collaborate and offer effective feedback; ensure the strategy is aligned with our pay for performance philosophy
  • Develop organizational leadership behaviors that are aligned with our core values ensuring the established behaviors are embedded in our company culture
  • Conduct an analysis and partner with the appropriate stakeholders before the completion of our annual performance cycle to ensure equity throughout the organization; partner with P&C peers to ensure appropriate reporting is provided to ensure timely completion of the performance cycle

Employee Engagement

  • Champion and lead the creation, communication, and implementation of programs that creates a competitive advantage through a motivated and capable workforce
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish and maintain our company values consistent with our mission and purpose; define and implement a strategy that integrates the values into our company culture, including embedding them in our talent, performance management, and diversity programs
  • Establish a Voice of the Employee (VoE) program to gauge the health of our culture as well as provide actionable data that supports the creation of plans that will allow us to attract and retain top talent
  • In partnership with key stakeholders, establish an employee recognition program that is consistent with our company's purpose and values that inspires engagement and high performance
  • In partnership with key stakeholders, determine the appropriate people metrics and insights to share with executive leadership, people leaders, P&C leadership, and the Board of Directors that describes the health of our culture and talent; prepare and present materials for executive leadership and Board of Directors as needed

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

  • In partnership with the Chief People Officer, define and implement a strategy for diversity, equity, and inclusion at Vacasa that will attract and retain workforce that reflects the communities we serve
  • Provide regular reporting to leadership and Board of Directors on our progress against our DEI strategy including relevant metrics

Skills you’ll need

  • 10+ years of experience working in a multi-unit/field oriented environment that has a dispersed workforce. Public company experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver talent programs with measurable business results
  • Strategic orientation and business acumen
  • Proven track record of delivering results through collaborative stakeholder management
  • Track record supporting business transformation initiatives
  • Ability to effectively influence cross-functional teams and decision makers
  • Experience growing and leading effective teams
  • Experience creating materials for and presenting to executive leadership and the Board of Directors board presentation
  • Experience creating people dashboards, as well as analyzing data and developing actionable business insights
  • Ability to build an engaged, high performing team of human resource professionals
  • The role requires strategic thinking, leadership presence, expertise in instructional design and a track record of partnering with and influencing senior leadership
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
  • Ability to think creatively and thrive in ambiguity

Compensation:

$185000 - $250000
