Overview of the role:

The Agile Delivery Manager orchestrates initiative delivery and guides the Agile team. They are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of an Initiative/product. They focus on the overall product lifecycle of our initiatives by partnering with Product and Development managers to oversee scope, ongoing risk and impediments, stakeholder management, utilize metrics to measure overall progress of our initiatives through our PI’s and maintaining the respective scorecards.

The Agile Delivery Manager enables the Scrum team's effectiveness by structuring Scrum events, coaching the team on Agile principles and practices, and removing impediments. They ensure that the team stays true to the Scrum framework and collaborates seamlessly, enabling self-organization and continuous improvement.

This is a hybrid position based in one of our Centers of Excellence (Austin, TX; Tampa, FL; or Mississauga, ONT, Canada).

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and maintenance of initiatives and their respective scorecards which consists of holding product accountable for scope and its changes, measuring progress completed, ensuring we have a comprehensive plan with engineering /clear timeline, managing any issues, risks or dependencies
  • Ensure that the sprint review pages and metrics associated with it are maintained and communicated to leadership
  • Maintain continuous improvement action items and ensure they are tracked through our Kanban board
  • Utilize eazyBI or Jira to have data driven conversations, decisions, and forecasts to support the success of our initiatives
  • Ensure the team adheres to the Scrum process and that the team is working effectively.
  • Enhance collaboration and open communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Empower Teams to become self-organizing and become cross functional teams.
  • Mature our product development team's ability to embrace change as part of the natural development process.
  • Represent and ensure the teams operates within the organization’s way of work;
  • Oversee process around pre-pi and ensure respective owners are fulfilling their role
  • Ensure that the Scrum Team follows the agreed-upon processes and rules of Scrum
  • Coach the Scrum Team to become self-managing and cross-functional
  • Oversee ceremonies, calls, and ensure the calls are being run effectively
  • Partner with product and oversee change management
  • Ownership of maintaining work distribution - emphasis on business value
  • Assist the Product Owner in defining and refining the Product Goal and Backlog
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Scrum within the organization
  • Create a safe, supportive, continuous learning, and improvement culture
  • Retrospectives celebration and emphasis on wins & accomplishments (culture focus)
  • Sprint and PI shoutout (Engineering and Product respective shout-outs)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, leadership, or related field.
  • 5+ or more years of Agile Project Management or Agile Delivery Manager experience in software development organization.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum.
  • Basic understanding of software development processes, tools, and technologies, though not necessarily hands-on coding experience.
  • Knowledge of agile and lean approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, among others.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution.
  • Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability.
  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP) and their application in software development and project management.
  • The ability to thrive and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Superior critical thinking capabilities, including the ability to think on their feet.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. In an agile environment, project managers must focus on essential components of the project and let go of unnecessary or distracting work.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach, fostering a culture of teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within retail, preferably grocery and/or food & beverage
  • Experience with inventory, supply chain, and retail operations
