About the Role

Uberall is at the center of the "Search Revolution." As AI-driven search, specifically Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), redefines how consumers find businesses, we are on a mission to master this new landscape. No one has fully mastered AEO yet - we want to be the first!
We are looking for a high-intensity, data-driven researcher to be our voice of truth. You will not just follow trends, you will set them. Working side-by-side with our Analytics Team, you will design experiments to validate hypotheses and turn data into a market-leading narrative. This is a highly influential role focused on proving the "So What?" behind the data, helping our product team and the wider industry understand how AI impacts business performance at a local level.

Responsibilities

  • Analysis & Experimentation: Proactively identify and investigate correlations between digital signals and business outcomes. You will dig into the data to solve open questions, refusing to do work that is a waste of time in favor of high-impact experiments.

  • Mastering AEO Strategy: Monitor the evolving AI search landscape to understand how different models treat business data. You will help build the next generation of AEO strategies with the goal of being the first in the industry to fully master them.

  • Strategic Storytelling: Translate complex analytical findings into "meaningful content" (including whitepapers, industry reports, and keynotes) that establishes Uberall as the ultimate authority on AI Search.

  • Cross-Functional Bridge: Act as a key partner to Product and Marketing. You don't just provide data, but you build persuasive cases for your ideas, ensuring that great research results in great product changes.

  • Collaborative Data Requirements: Partner with our Analytics Team to define the requirements for complex queries and calculations, ensuring you have the data needed to fuel your hypotheses.

Your Profile

  • Business-Oriented Mindset: You prioritize business topics over technical tasks. You understand why data matters to a business and can communicate that value to leadership and clients alike.

  • Innate Curiosity: You have a "go-and-explore" instinct. You don't wait for questions, you invent them. You are constantly asking, "Why did this happen?" and "What is the correlation here?"

  • Technical Foundation: You have a solid background in SEO. You are data-driven and math-oriented. SQL experience is needed to navigate data effectively, alongside experience with visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.

  • Strong Academic Background: You possess a formal foundation in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics).

  • AEO/GEO Enthusiast: You are intrigued by the shift from traditional SEO to AI search and are excited to lead the pack in the emerging field of GEO.

  • Healthy Skepticism: When someone tells you a particular strategy works, your default is to be skeptical. You ask for evidence, then you double-check that the analysis was performed properly.

  • Impact-Obsessed: You are only satisfied with your work if there is a measurable impact. If a client or stakeholder is happy, but the needle didn't move, you aren't finished.

  • Extreme Accountability: If your great ideas aren't launched or adopted, you don't blame the stakeholders. Instead, you ask how you could have made a more persuasive, data-backed case.

  • High Professional Bar: You have a high bar for those you work with. You want to be surrounded by the best in the world at their craft.

Nice to Have

  • Technical Scripting: Practical experience with Python or R for data manipulation or advanced analytics. A deep technical SEO skillset is a major bonus.

  • Industry Presence: Experience producing public-facing research or state-of-the-industry reports.

  • Market Context: Familiarity with the American market (the most advanced in GEO) and local business performance metrics.
