The Director of Cloud and Infrastructure at Tripleseat will lead and manage all aspects of the company’s cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and IT operations. This role ensures that Tripleseat’s infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient while supporting both our SaaS platform and internal teams. The Director will oversee cloud operations, automation, vendor management, and cloud cost optimization, ensuring that our technology foundation supports product innovation and business growth.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep experience in AWS cloud management, DevOps automation, and modern infrastructure practices.
Location: This position is open to remote candidates eligible to work in the United States. A hybrid work schedule will be offered if the ideal candidate is based near our Concord, MA office.
Travel Expectations: If the ideal candidate is located outside the Concord, MA area, they will be required to complete initial onboarding at our Concord, MA office, followed by occasional in-office visits and travel for company events.
Core Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management

Lead the design, deployment, and operation of Tripleseat’s cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS), ensuring performance, scalability, and cost optimization.

Drive cloud modernization and automation initiatives, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and continuous delivery pipelines.

Partner with the security officer to ensure infrastructure adheres to standards such as SOC 2, PCI DSS and GDPR.

Monitor and report on AWS usage and spend, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Partner with FP&A to develop and manage cloud budgets, forecasts, and cost allocation models.

Oversee system observability, monitoring, and incident response to maintain platform reliability and performance.
DevOps & Platform Engineering

Lead the DevOps team to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment consistency across staging and production.

Champion best practices for automation, configuration management, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS).

Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment velocity and operational stability.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

Maintain robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical systems and services.

Lead the response to major incidents, coordinating technical teams to minimize disruption.
Leadership and Collaboration

Lead and mentor a team of DevOps, CloudOps professionals.

Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Build processes and documentation to support growth and operational maturity.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration

Collaborate with Product, Engineering teams to align infrastructure strategy with company objectives.

Provide input on long-term scalability, capacity planning, and budget optimization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- AWS and Cloud Expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS services, architecture, and cost management practices; experience designing and operating production cloud environments.
- Infrastructure as Code and Automation: Expertise with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools for scalable and repeatable infrastructure management.
- Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage cloud budgets, perform cost analysis, and partner with FP&A for forecasting and reporting.
- DevOps and CI/CD: Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, release management, and modern containerized environments (ECS, Kubernetes, Docker).
- Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to lead, develop, and grow high-performing teams, including DevOps engineers and IT professionals. Ability to foster collaboration and drive results across teams.
- Incident Management & Disaster Recovery: Expertise in managing critical incidents and developing comprehensive disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of infrastructure or security issues.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Track record of building and managing high-performing technical teams, with excellent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Values Alignment: A customer-first mindset focused on reliability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Experience:

8+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience managing AWS (primarily) production environments at scale within a SaaS organization.

CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications are a plus.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, or ISO 27001.
Base Compensation Range:
- $170,000 - $185,000 annually
Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition.
