Job Context
The Commissions Analyst supports the accurate and timely processing of sales commissions across the organization. This role sits within Finance and works closely with Sales and Finance teams to ensure commission data is clean, calculations are correct, and payments go out on time. The right candidate understands how commission plans work, is comfortable digging into data to find and resolve discrepancies, and can communicate clearly with stakeholders across the business.What You’ll Do
KEY OBJECTIVES
- Ensure commissions are calculated and processed accurately every period
- Maintain data integrity across all commission inputs and tracking systems
- Serve as a dependable resource for Finance during monthly and quarterly close
- Support the Sales team with timely, accurate answers to commission questions
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Calculate and process monthly commission payouts in line with approved commission plans
- Reconcile and validate sales data inputs including bookings, quota attainment, and plan adjustments
- Maintain commission tracking systems and ensure records are current and accurate
- Prepare commission accruals, variance reports, and supporting schedules for Finance close
- Investigate and resolve commission disputes from sales representatives in a timely manner
- Develop a working knowledge of all active commission plans and apply them correctly
- Distribute commission statements to payees and respond to calculation inquiries
- Document processes and identify opportunities to improve accuracy or efficiency
