The Job

We are seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer / Specialist that will help drive Simpro Group's innovation and scalability.

By automating processes and integrating key business systems, you'll be empowered to enhance Simpro's cross-platform visibility and improve efficiency.

This role is a pivotal part of future-proofing our business through emerging technologies and building scalable solutions to support our growth.

This is generally a full-time Remote position, with occasional travel expected to our Leeds office.

What You’ll Do

Cross-Platform System Integration:

- Design and maintain integrations between Salesforce, Workday, HubSpot, Sage Intacct, Slack, custom/internal CRMs and other key business systems.
- Develop and optimise data flows (e.g., lead-to-cash, customer support ticketing) across business platforms.

Process Automation & Tooling:

- Automate workflows using AWS Lambda (for serverless compute), Python scripts, or middleware tools.
- Streamline manual processes (e.g., data syncing, report generation) between finance (Sage), CRM, collaboration tools (Slack) and other key tools as applicable

Incident Management & Support:

- Troubleshoot integration failures, API errors, or data discrepancies; implement fixes and preventive monitoring.
- Provide occasional specialised IT support for internal systems (e.g., debugging permissions, resolving data sync issues).
- Assist with core production product/platform support during critical incidents (e.g., diagnosing API downtime affecting customer-facing tools).

Internal Tool Development:

- Build lightweight internal tools (e.g., dashboards, data validators) to enhance cross-platform visibility and usability.

Innovation & Systems Rationalisation:

- Propose solutions to increase interoperability between core systems (e.g., unifying Salesforce and HubSpot data models).
- Identify opportunities to rationalise the technology stack (e.g., retiring redundant tools, consolidating APIs).
- Research and prototype integrations for future systems (e.g., AI/ML tooling, low-code platforms).

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

- Experience integrating Salesforce, Workday, HubSpot, or Sage Intacct with internal systems via APIs.

- Proficiency in scripting (e.g. Python, Bash) for automation and data transformation.

- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, EventBridge) as part of integration workflows.

- Knowledge of REST API design, authentication (OAuth, API keys), and error handling.

- Ability to balance BAU support with strategic innovation initiatives.

Advantageous:

- Certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Workday Integration Certified, HubSpot Integration Designer, or AWS Certified Developer.

- Experience rationalising legacy systems or reducing technical debt.
