RocketRez is an all-in-one cloud platform behind some of the fastest-growing tours and attractions. Our platform connects data from every facet of our customers’ business to help them manage their revenue like never before. If you’re passionate about people, technology solutions, travel, and exciting attractions, this may be the career opportunity for you!

Today, our Origin platform runs the business — but it runs largely uninstrumented. We make product decisions without a clear, continuous view of how customers and end users actually behave inside the platform.

This role exists to fix that.

We're hiring a Product Operations Manager to build product observability from the ground up across every Origin product function, and to turn that same foundation into the customer-facing reporting our venue operators rely on. You'll define what we measure, partner with data engineering to instrument it, and own the dashboards that keep it honest over time.

This is an operator role, not a strategy role. We're deliberately not titling it “Product Manager.” We want someone obsessed with the operational machinery — measurement, rigor, and the discipline of keeping metrics trustworthy — not someone looking to drift into roadmap or strategy work. If that distinction excites you, read on.

One more thing worth saying early: we're evolving toward an AI-native way of operating, and this role sits right at that shift. More on what that means — and how we expect you to grow into it — below.

What you'll own

1. Internal product observability (build the instrumentation we don't have)

You'll architect and stand up the full metric suite across every Origin product function, including but not limited to:

  • Ticketing and ticketing upsells / dynamic selling
  • Payments
  • Memberships and activations
  • Gift cards
  • (and the rest of the RocketRez product surface)

For each function you'll define the metric taxonomy — what actually matters operationally — partner with our data engineer to instrument it, build the dashboards, and own them on an ongoing basis as the products and business evolve. This is the source of truth that lets RocketRez finally make decisions based on real usage data.

2. Customer-facing Origin reporting (serve the same rigor to venue operators)

The same discipline that powers our internal observability becomes the foundation for the canned and interactive reporting our customers see. Venue operators need a clear window into what's happening at their venues, including:

  • Performance of individual ticket passes for a given customer
  • Performance of group activities on a given day
  • Promotion ROI measured against monthly sales figures
  • Turnstile uptime and activation rates across QR-scanning machines

You'll define what these reports should be and how they should surface — building once and serving both audiences, internal and external.

Why this is one job, not two

Defining the metrics RocketRez needs to operate, and defining the metrics a customer needs to operate, is fundamentally the same activity: understand the business functions, figure out what matters, instrument it, and surface it so it drives decisions. The data sources and tech stacks may differ; the objective doesn't. We're looking for someone who can transpose that skill across contexts without reinventing the wheel each time.

Where this role is heading

RocketRez is moving toward an AI-native product organization — most visibly in Orion's insights layer, which automates the interpretation and recommendation work a human analyst would otherwise do. As that matures, this role's measurement discipline extends from deterministic product analytics into the probabilistic surfaces that AI introduces.

You don't need to have mastered all of this on day one. We're being upfront that some of it is still aspirational for us. We're looking for someone who treats it as the direction of travel — ready to mature these capabilities with us, or already bringing experience that accelerates them:

  • Instrumenting AI features, not just deterministic ones — usage of AI-driven functions, output acceptance and override rates, and how recommendations actually change operator behavior.
  • Quality and evaluation operations — bringing measurement rigor to systems that don't behave deterministically: eval suites, quality dashboards, and catching drift when a model or prompt changes.
  • Closing the feedback loop — designing how operator signals (accepted vs. ignored recommendations, corrections) flow back to improve the insights layer over time.
  • Watching the economics — treating cost-per-inference and the quality-versus-cost tradeoff as first-class operational metrics as AI features scale.
  • Automating your own workflow — using AI tooling to generate reports and analysis rather than assembling everything by hand.

Who you are

  • A data-backed operator — you've done product or business operations with measurement at the center of how you work.
  • You think in metrics and dashboards, and you're comfortable in SQL and modern analytics tooling.
  • You have the rigor to define a clean metric taxonomy and the discipline to keep it trustworthy as things change.
  • You've likely done this before in another vertical and can pick up a new domain fast.
  • You're energized by the operational machinery itself — not by owning roadmap or strategy.
  • You're comfortable with — or genuinely eager to develop fluency in — non-deterministic systems, evaluation-driven quality measurement, and modern AI tooling.

What makes this role easier

You won't be building everything alone. RocketRez has an existing data engineer who understands our data engineering needs across both platforms. Your job is to define what matters and partner with them to instrument it — not to stand up the entire data infrastructure single-handedly.
