We are looking for a strong engineering manager to lead technical strategy and engineering delivery for our integration and workflow platform. This position reports to the VP of Technology and will oversee our remote engineering team which includes both US-based FTEs as well as overseas (mostly near-shore) contractors. We are looking for a mature leader with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong judgment, and a solid background in workflow automation and microservice architectures.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Overall engineering delivery and platform quality.
• Management of technical staff, both US-based and contractors.
• Architecture and technical decision making, in collaboration with our strong principal engineering team.
• Platform security and ensuring secure development practices.
• Technical strategy for the platform to meet both immediate and long-term business and platform needs, in collaboration with technology team leadership overall.
• Setting and managing the budget for engineering tools and cloud usage.
• Operational processes for the technology team, in collaboration with our head of Product.
• Ensuring high-quality code and testing in the platform.
• Managing relationships with engineering vendors and service providers.
• Communicating engineering decisions and team needs/progress to stakeholders outside of the technology team in a clear and accessible manner.

Your background:

• Solid track record of success in leading major engineering efforts in a B2B or enterprise scale-up context.
• Deep and demonstrable understanding of workflow automation, user-facing automation playbooks, third party integrations, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with platform cybersecurity and secure development practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline delivery model
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Solid technical judgment and an inquisitive nature.
• Emotional maturity, humility, and a team-first spirit.
