Senior Product Manager - AI in the Digital Workplace
The position
Job description
About Powell Software
We are a Microsoft 365 Digital Workplace solutions editor, trusted by 600+ customers and 2M+ users, with strong international traction across English, French, and German-speaking markets. Our Product team owns the full lifecycle and works hand-in-hand with customers, partners, and GTM to build products that change how people work.
Why this role, why now
The digital workplace is being rewritten by AI. Generative interfaces, agents, AI-powered search, and automated workflows are reshaping how employees find information and get work done - while enterprises scramble to deploy these capabilities without breaking governance, security, or user trust.
Powell Software sits at the center of that shift. After 10 years of growth, profitability met and a recent significant funding round led by Cathay Capital, we are doubling down on a bold bet: creating a digital workplace that employees love to use - bridging trusted knowledge access from M365 with measurable productivity output. This role is central to that bet.
Preferred experience
What you’ll own
AI as a cross-product capability. Define and prioritize AI capabilities across Powell Intranet, Powell Governance, and emerging intelligence experiences. Clarify where Powell complements Microsoft Copilot, where we build a first-party experience, and where we enable partners to extend our platform.
Mobile and frontline as a strategic adoption channel. Shape Powell’s mobile strategy as a distribution surface for AI-powered employee services - not a side product. Identify where mobile creates distinct value (notifications, field access, knowledge retrieval, task completion) for the frontline workers Microsoft-first AI deployments often leave out.
Discovery and market intelligence. Build an evidence-backed view of customer needs from customers, partners, Sales, Pre-Sales, and Customer Success. Run interviews and co-design sessions. Track the Microsoft AI landscape (Copilot Studio, Azure AI, Graph) and the regulatory environment (EU AI Act). Turn signals into recommendations, not watchlists.
Delivery and product craft. Write specs engineers can build from. Drive agile rituals with discipline. Make prioritization calls transparently, balancing customer impact, technical feasibility, security, and commercial value.
Enablement and narrative. Partner with Product Marketing to explain what shipped, why it matters, and how it connects to our vision. Equip Sales, Pre-Sales, and partners to demo AI and mobile capabilities with confidence. Help define the proof points we need to win: adoption, search satisfaction, ticket avoidance, productivity impact.
Product territories you may work on
AI-powered knowledge discovery and search - permission-safe answers across the workplace.
Bounded workplace knowledge agents - HR, IT, onboarding assistants grounded in governed content.
AI-assisted content creation - better content faster, with brand and governance respected.
Mobile-first employee services - knowledge, comms, and tasks for distributed and frontline workers.
Connectors and actionability - moving from information access to action across ServiceNow, Workday, and other enterprise systems.
Compatibility strategy: with other agentic suite, namely Copilot Studio, via MCP.
What success looks like in your first 12 months
Powell’s AI product strategy is clear, prioritized, and understood by Product, Engineering, GTM, and leadership.
Several concrete AI capabilities have shipped, with measurable customer value and adoption signals.
Powell has a sharper mobile strategy connected to frontline reach and AI adoption - not a list of app improvements.
Sales, Pre-Sales, Customer Success, and partners can articulate Powell’s AI value, including how we complement Microsoft rather than compete head-on.
Roadmap decisions are grounded in customer evidence, market reality, and strategic differentiation.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves
5–10 years in Product Management, ideally B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
Strong discovery and delivery discipline - you find real problems, prioritize sharply, and ship with engineering.
Proven experience building mobile-first experiences, with familiarity in B2B mobile app deployments (MDM, store distribution, enterprise rollout).
Ability to translate complex AI / data-intensive topics into clear product decisions and user value.
Strong written communication: specs, narratives, enablement, executive-ready recommendations.
Fluent professional English; French required for internal collaboration and customer conversations.
Strong pluses
Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Entra, Graph) and Microsoft AI stack (Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI).
Digital workplace, intranet, knowledge management, or employee experience products.
Governance, permissions, content lifecycle, regulated industries, or EU AI Act familiarity.
B2B SaaS go-to-market exposure: enterprise sales cycles, demos, packaging, partner ecosystems.
How you work
Curious - you follow the AI and Microsoft ecosystem and form your own opinions.
Humble - you listen, challenge your assumptions, and learn from engineers and customers.
Pragmatic - you know the difference between a great AI demo and a product enterprises can safely deploy.
Structured - you turn ambiguity into clear options, decisions, and next steps.
Outcome-oriented - you care about adoption, trust, and measurable impact, not shipped features alone.
What we offer
A strategic role at the intersection of AI, governance, employee experience, and the future of work - reporting to the CPO.
Real ownership of a high-impact product domain, with influence on both product direction and market narrative.
Regular customer and partner access across Europe and internationally.
A product team that values initiative, transparency, and craft over process theatre.
A hybrid, supportive environment in central Paris.
Compensation & benefits to be detailed: salary range, variable, BSPCE/equity, RTT, meal vouchers, health, learning budget, remote days.
