Sales Assistant

Location: New York City Office

Role Overview

Ninth Wave is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our sales team in driving growth and expanding our SaaS platform’s customer base. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with technology, and is eager to help streamline sales processes.

As Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Sales and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience—from first contact through onboarding. You’ll gain direct exposure to senior leadership, as this position reports to our CEO and Founder, who currently serves as Head of Sales.

In this role, you will directly contribute to building strong client relationships and accelerating sales performance, making a visible impact on the company’s growth This role offers the opportunity to learn the SaaS sales cycle end-to-end, with a potential growth path into Sales Operations, Account Management, or Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Support: Partner with account executives in preparing compelling proposals, presentations, and client communications.
  • CRM Management: Maintain and update customer records, pipeline data, and activity tracking in the CRM system.
  • Lead Management: Help qualify inbound leads, schedule meetings, and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Sales Reporting: Generate and analyze sales reports, track KPIs, and highlight trends to improve performance.
  • Customer Coordination: Support in organizing demos, responding to client inquiries, and ensuring smooth handoffs to customer success teams.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve workflows and sales efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment across customer touch points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative role (SaaS/tech industry experience a plus)
  • Proficient admin experience with Salesforce
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills,
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguity to problem solve and adapt to changing company needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication aptitudes to foster relationships and convey customer empathy
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new tools
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • This role follows a hybrid model with 4 days in-office at our New York City headquarters, fostering strong collaboration and mentorship opportunities.
