  • Design and maintain our database architecture, structures, movement, and relationships. Constantly optimize and monitor queries for speed, performance, and integrity on our Redshift data warehouse.
  • Work with data creators, business teams, and engineering to understand how data is produced and integrated with internal systems and external partners. Work across the company on recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Secure our user’s private data. Establish the rules and tools to protect and secure the database and our data pipelines against threats or unauthorized access.

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Infrastructure Engineer or Software Engineer
  • A solid grasp of data engineering principles, practices, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or another related college degree.
  • Proven experience with relational databases and Amazon Redshift.
  • Experience with DataOps and security including data protection, data migration, data sanitization, data governance, back-up and recovery, and database security. Other cloud based RDBMS experience like Snowflake is a plus.
  • Proven experience with data pipelines, infrastructure, advanced data management tools (i.e., Fivetran, Amazon DMS, etc), orchestration, observability and database design & architecture.
  • A track record of understanding and implementing measures to keep production data pipelines consistent, valid, and healthy.
  • Ability to analyze ETL and ELT needs, evaluate optimal data management solutions defining how data moves between our systems, establish orchestration principles and monitor performance.
  • Experience with MVC Frameworks (Rails, ASP.NET MVC, Spring MVC, Laravel) is a strong plus
  • Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What You’ll Enjoy

  • Market-leading salary
  • Being part of a small, efficient, and inspiring engineering team
  • Flexible schedule
  • High-tech modern office in central Chișinău (available to candidates based in Moldova or those who are comfortable to occasionally travel to Moldova)

Company Mission

Our mission is to empower people to be creative and connect deeply with the ones they love.

Our Culture

Unlike many growth companies, we have invested deeply in culture. Organizational health is central to our long-term strategy – we believe that when we love our people, they will love our customers, and our customers will love our business. We’ve adopted Patrick Lencioni’s principles from his book, “The Advantage”, and work diligently to foster a healthy environment - characterized by high morale + productivity, low turnover, and minimal politics + confusion. Our team is built on a foundation of vulnerability-based trust, engaging in constructive conflict, focusing on results and the following core values:

  • Scrappy (Act like an entrepreneur)
  • Caring (Heart of empathy)
  • Craftsmanship (Spirit of excellence)

If you’re a candidate who values a healthy, thriving organizational culture and understands the importance of actively contributing to it, we invite you to apply.
