As a Linguistic Services Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all linguistic and editorial tasks related to client projects. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and quality of linguistic deliverables, supporting clients through various project phases, and maintaining strong client relationships. You will work closely with the team leader and other team members to provide high-quality linguistic services.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Setup
- Assist in the creation of Knowledge Bases and provide support services during the initial phase of client projects.
- Conduct linguistic tuning of client projects to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support the testing phase prior to project go-live, ensuring all linguistic aspects are thoroughly vetted.
Ongoing Maintenance
- Offer post-go-live support to clients, addressing any linguistic or editorial issues that arise.
- Train clients to maintain their projects independently, providing necessary resources and guidance.
- Perform ongoing linguistic and editorial maintenance services to ensure project quality.
- Produce detailed reports for clients, summarizing project progress and any issues resolved.
Client Support and Training
- Resolve all support issues related to linguistic matters promptly and efficiently.
- Provide comprehensive training for clients during both the setup and maintenance phases.
- Collaborate with the Lexicon Team to integrate and maintain Universal Lexicons.
Additional Responsibilities
- Create and translate training materials for clients.
- Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Demos, making necessary linguistic adjustments.
- Ensure continuous improvement of linguistic services and processes.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in fields such as Linguistics, Translation, journalism, philology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on client-facing projects.
- Strong understanding of linguistic principles and editorial standards.
- Language Proficiency: Native French speaker with a high level of English. Proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable.
- Generative AI: Experience using Generative AI knowledge for accelerating and enhancing productivity.
- Productivity/Collaboration Tools: Experience with project management tools (Jira, ClickUp), MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, MS SharePoint, MS Loop, etc.
Skills :
Writing Skills:
Excellent written skills with the ability to deliver high-quality reports and training materials, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Technical Understanding:
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and apply them to linguistic tuning, testing phases, and the creation of Knowledge Bases.
Team Collaboration: Work well with a global team, demonstrating a collaborative attitude and effective communication skills. This includes collaborating with the Lexicon Team and supporting clients through various project phases.
Organizational Skills: Maintain a structured approach to project setup and ongoing maintenance, ensuring all linguistic and editorial tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Project Management Skills: Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project tasks to meet client deliverables and project milestones, particularly during the setup and maintenance phases.
Customer-Centric Approach: Service-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction. This includes providing comprehensive training, resolving support issues promptly, and offering post-go-live support.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and an openness to new experiences. This is essential for continuous improvement of linguistic services and processes, and for adapting to new client requirements and technologies.Timelines and Deadlines: Set realistic timelines and ensure adherence to project deadlines. This skill is crucial for managing the workload effectively, especially given the high volume of client meetings and report creation tasks.
Product Knowledge: Experience with relevant technology (e.g., Chatbots, Conversational AI, Generative AI, NLP technology, etc.). This knowledge is important for conducting linguistic tuning, supporting the testing phase, and integrating Universal Lexicons
