We are searching for a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI development team. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models to support our software development teams in incorporating intelligence to their product areas. You will be responsible for creating scalable APIs to integrate these models into various products, and ensuring their seamless integration and high performance.

What you'll do:

• Design, train, and deploy machine learning models using frameworks like PyTorch and leveraging best in class open source models such as Llama
• Develop and maintain robust APIs for model access and integration with other systems
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement and optimise model features
• Continuously evaluate and improve model performance and system reliability
• Drive end-to-end projects from concept to deployment, ensuring successful completion and business impact

Required skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Industry experience in software and model development in a production environment
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch) and developing scalable ML models
• Strong understanding of data manipulation, analysis, and querying
• Comfortable with managing technical uncertainty
• Proven ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced degree (M.S. or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• Experience in developing and implementing generative AI systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and machine learning operations practices.
• Experience with developing and deploying machine learning models at scale.

1. Screening interview (30min remote)
2. Second interview (45min, at our office or remote)
3. Homework related to your role followed by a panel interview (max 90min independent work plus 60min interview at our office or remote)
