The Director of Marketing and Demand Generation (DM) oversees full funnel marketing and demand generation functions for the company. S/he creates, executes, and manages integrated marketing campaigns and demand generation initiatives to drive growth and help GovInvest achieve $20 million of ARR by 2025. The DM will have proven success collaborating across the company to ensure marketing is delivering programs that increase pipeline and revenue growth. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of demand generation strategies, marketing automation processes, and a proven track record in building, executing, and delivering quality-driven campaigns and programs with the company’s strategic direction in mind. S/he will also be a creative thinker and strong communicator who is adept at content creation and messaging. The DM will work remotely and report to the VP of Sales, along with the President.

What you’ll do
• Define, innovate, pilot and execute an omni-channel marketing plan, budget requirements, goals and KPIs to effectively achieve pipeline quantity, quality, velocity, win rates and ROI
• Directly oversee and manage a team of BDRs and the Marketing Coordinator
• Monitor marketplace trends and partner with sales and leadership teams to inform and communicate all marketing campaigns and ensure campaigns evolve as market dynamics change to maintain alignment of goals, objectives and strategies for all present and future products
• Monitor/ manage/ oversee events, conferences, and association partnerships.
• Plan and execute a variety of programs that build new business pipeline (may include online and offline campaigns, events, customer stories, plays and playbooks, social selling, and personally hosting online and offline events, ABM, etc.)
• Forecast and manage budget and select and manage external vendors and agencies.
• Regularly monitor, track performance of marketing activities programs and mix to analyze, report and present on campaign and KPI performance, regional success, deliverables and programs
• Develop and implement a disciplined, data driven demand generation process leading to increased sales productivity
• Develop and execute the Company’s channel partner strategy
• Lead the selection and implementation of marketing automation tools and lead nurturing capabilities. Maintain marketing automation software to ensure quality of inputs and measurability of results. Construct optimal workflows/process management procedures and ensure accurate synchronization between MA tool and CRM
• Define marketing analytics; create dashboards and reports to measure all aspects of marketing campaigns: database cleanliness, campaign effectiveness, pipeline contribution, overall campaign performance, ROI
• Responsible for delivery of trade show collateral and other physical media
• Create and maintain robust competitive intelligence on all major competitors detailing features, price, and promotions. Monitor the marketplace for new competitors and communicate trends internally. Manage the Company’s online presence and create relevant content (blog posts, newsletters, etc.)
• Proof all external communications (including technical release notes, product updates, blog posts, newsletters, sales collateral) to ensure quality and compliance with standard formats
• Maintain a pro-active approach and act with initiative but ask when in doubt
• Keep CEO apprised of progress on all initiatives and provide frequent updates on assigned tasks

What you'll bring to the table
• 5-10 years marketing experience, with at least 4 years B2B marketing experience in SaaS, application marketing. Enterprise software marketing is a plus
• BA/BS or equivalent degree
• Proficient in marketing automation and sales automation/CRM reporting and campaign features
• Hands-on experience prioritizing running multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously
• Ability to generate quality content that leads to meaningful interactions with clients and lead to sales conversions
• Oriented towards a fast paced, performance driven work environment supporting a high quality of marketing leads and continuous improvement
• Data driven and highly analytical with experience using qualitative and quantitative metrics to manage programs providing useful feedback and productive recommendations
• Strong organizationally with exceptional Project Management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be excellent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management applications
• Excellent written and verbal and communication skills
