The Role

The Senior Salesforce Solutions Architect is Fusion’s technical authority within Professional Services. Your primary focus is to ensure that the solutions designed by our delivery teams are secure, scalable, and future-ready. You do this through architectural oversight, expert validation, and hands-on technical contributions when projects demand specialized skills.

In addition, the Senior Solutions Architect is a force multiplier for the organization: you mentor Technical Project Leads (TPLs) and Implementation Consultants (ICs), step into high-stakes client and prospect engagements as an expert voice, and build AI-driven tooling and reusable templates that improve the efficiency of Fusion’s delivery teams, enhancing our ability to deliver value at scale. You partner with the Revenue, Product, Support, and Training teams to position Fusion for long-term client success.

Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Strategic Consulting

  • Lead technical design sessions for strategic or complex client accounts.
  • Consult directly with clients and prospects, as the architectural authority on Salesforce and Fusion solutions.
  • Join prospective client calls alongside the VP of Architecture and the Infosec team to address deep architectural and security questions.
  • Support project teams in managing demanding client expectations or escalations requiring senior architectural expertise.

Solution Design & Technical Leadership

  • Own the design and delivery of highly complex or non-standard solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned to Salesforce and Fusion best practices.
  • Provide hands-on Salesforce Apex and Lightning Web Component (LWC) development for the most complex requirements, especially for strategic accounts.
  • Collaborate with peer architects and delivery teams to validate architectural decisions across multiple projects, ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability.

Mentorship & Team Development

  • Inspire and mentor TPLs and ICs, equipping them with advanced technical and project delivery skills while promoting AI-powered development practices with tools like Cursor and ChatGPT Enterprise.
  • Shape the next generation of Fusion technologists by providing high-impact coaching, setting standards, and modeling excellence in solution design and technical leadership.
  • Elevate the Professional Services organization by creating and evangelizing reusable design patterns and architectural best practices that scale to the world’s largest and most critical enterprises — including global leaders in banking, technology, energy, and healthcare.

Innovation & AI Enablement

  • Leverage the latest AI technology to develop tooling that boosts Professional Services efficiency and enhances client value delivery.
  • Drive experimentation with emerging technologies and evaluate their application in Fusion’s delivery model.
  • Document and evangelize best practices for incorporating AI into development, testing, and solution design.

Organizational & Strategic Contribution

  • Influence Fusion’s product roadmap and internal processes by surfacing patterns, risks, and technical trends observed across clients.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to advocate for enhancements that improve scalability and enterprise adoption.
  • Continuously improve Fusion’s ways of working by identifying bottlenecks, shaping best practices, and introducing new tools or processes that make delivery more efficient and effective.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5 years of experience in application development
  • 3-5 years of Salesforce experience
  • Experience with Salesforce Security Configuration, including Salesforce Shield Products
  • Experience with Salesforce Analytics capabilities, including Standard Reporting as well as Einstein / Tableau CRM capabilities
  • Knowledge of OWASP vulnerabilities and Force.com defenses against them
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience working with external clients
  • Strong problem-solving, decision making, and collaboration skills
  • Agile development methodology expertise (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe)
