What You’ll Do:
Foxen is looking for a Senior Software Engineer that wants to work with significant autonomy in a small, entrepreneurial team. You’ll have the opportunity to solve interesting problems to provide streamlined and efficient financial service solutions to our customers. As a Senior team member, you’ll also provide leadership and technical guidance in the design and implementation of technology solutions to gain competitive advantage in support of growing business needs and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to deliver new and innovative solutions assisting in the overall growth of the company
  • Design, enhance, and construct new and existing features using performant, scalable, secure, documented and maintainable code, with a focus on reliable, high-volume, time-sensitive, recurring bulk data ingest solutions utilizing scheduled and event-driven architectural concepts and cloud PaaS capabilities
  • Build and maintain 3rdparty integrations utilizing partner APIs and/or data mappings between partner and internal data formats
  • Quickly produce well-organized, optimized, and documented code
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with the business, technical teams, and leaders
  • Automate and standardize everything – obliterate the manual processes
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as iteration planning, retrospective, and daily standups
  • Serve as an expert resource for others on the team and within the organization for programming needs
  • Mentor engineers on good development practices such as testing methodologies, secure coding practices and engineering for extensibility and supportability in a cloud enabled architecture
  • Driven to be a part of a high performing team that operates with a mindset of collective code ownership
  • Driven by producing market defining products quickly and with high quality

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field/experience
  • 5+ years relevant programming experience
  • Strong knowledge of OOP, reusable coding practices, ETL concepts, and offline process automation
  • Experience with serverless environments, microservices, and RESTful APIs
  • Full-stack expertise in multiple tiers of modern web applications
  • Experience delivering resilient data processing solutions with exception handling/retry flows, end-to-end observability, incident handling, and reporting capabilities
  • Experienced using practices such as unit testing, integration testing, proper code documentation, and appropriate logging to develop highly maintainable and reliable code
  • Understanding of scrum, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps
