About the Role
Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.
We’re looking for a Staff Technical Writer to create great documentation that will turbocharge the Fivetran engineering team.
You will own the creation, maintenance, and governance of our internal engineering documentation. As the dedicated technical writer on our engineering team, you will write content targeted to engineers. You will also edit and organize documentation drafted by our engineers and coach them to improve their writing skills.
This is a full-time position based out of our Bangaluru office.

What You’ll Do
Collaborate closely with the engineering organization for project planning, document creation and maintenance, and overall governance of internal engineering documentation
Proactively engage with the engineering organization around internal documentation needs
Create and maintain internal documentation around engineering services, processes, tools, and features so that we can provide rock-solid infrastructure
Develop a tight feedback loop with the engineering organization for efficient and timely responsiveness to document requests
Inventory the existing internal engineering documentation, create and implement a plan to improve its organization, and establish governance policy for ongoing documentation development
Work with the enablement team in the creation and maintenance of training materials to accelerate engineers' onboarding and skill development

Experience writing for developers and a technical audience
