Associate Technical Writer (Riyadh, KSA)

FileCloud is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Technical Writer to join our team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will help create, update, and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation that supports our customers and internal users. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career technical writer to grow in a fast-paced software environment while working closely with the Documentation team as well as Product Management, Engineering and Customer Support. This role is fully office-based and will require working in our office in Riyadh and connecting with the wider, global FileCloud team.
About the Product & Company:
FileCloud is a hyper-secure EFSS (enterprise file sync and share) platform that provides industry leading compliance, data governance, data leak protection, data retention and digital rights management capabilities. FileCloud is a leader in content governance and collaboration for unstructured data, trusted and used worldwide across Global 1000 enterprises, educational institutions, government organizations, and service providers. In addition to its enterprise file sharing solution, FileCloud’s product portfolio also includes Signority (acquired in May 2024), a Canadian-based e-signature and document workflow platform. We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation including:
- Product guides
- End user and administrator documentation
- Release notes and feature updates
- Update documentation to reflect new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
- Help internal users maintain their teams’ documents on the company wiki
- Maintain written procedures of documentation team processes
- Work closely with the lead Technical Writer as well as Product Managers and Engineers to learn about the FileCloud product and the product releases process
- Review existing content for clarity and accuracy
- Try new features and confirm that documentation accurately describes their functions and behavior
- Follow established documentation standards, templates, and style guidelines
Required Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in technical writing, documentation, or a related role. (internships and academic experience welcome)
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, accurately, and professionally to a global audience
- Familiarity using documentation tools to create web-based documentation
- Proven ability to learn technical concepts
- Some understanding of basic coding concepts
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to content accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience documenting software products.
- Basic coding experience.
- Understanding of:
- Web applications
- System administration such as maintaining users and assigning permissions.
- Data/feature sharing between applications
- Familiarity with version control.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
