FileCloud is looking for a Managing Director – Finance & Operations in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who will bring 10+ years of progressive financial and personnel management experience, strong knowledge of statutory accounting and tax requirements, and proven capability to act as the senior operational representative for the country and region. The role works closely with Corporate Finance and Global People Operations to support FileCloud’s regional growth and compliance objectives in Saudi Arabia.

FileCloud is a hyper-secure EFSS (Enterprise File Sync and Share) platform that provides industry leading compliance, data governance, data leak protection, data retention and digital rights management capabilities. FileCloud is a leader in content governance and collaboration for unstructured data, trusted and used worldwide across Global 1000 enterprises, educational institutions, government organizations, and service providers. In addition to its enterprise file sharing solution, FileCloud’s product portfolio also includes Signority (acquired in May 2024), a Canadian-based e-signature and document workflow platform. We are currently expanding our team as we grow and improve FileCloud.
Job Duties:
Financial Management & Reporting
- Act as the senior finance lead for Saudi Arabia, with full responsibility for country-level financial management, controls, and compliance.
- Maintain oversight of accounting books of original entries, general ledger, and financial records in coordination with local accounting and tax advisors.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in line with corporate deadlines, including: trial balance review, income statement and balance sheet reconciliations & variance analysis and management commentary.
- Partner with Corporate Consolidation & Reporting teams to respond to audit, reporting, and analysis requests.
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cash flow planning for the Saudi entity.
- Monitor financial performance versus budget and provide insights and recommendations to financial leadership.
- Ensure robust internal controls, approval matrices, and financial governance aligned with global policies.
Tax, Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate with local accounting firms and advisors to ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory accounts, ZATCA tax filings, VAT, WHT, and other local regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, tax authorities, and regulators in Saudi Arabia.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi accounting standards, labor regulations (as applicable to payroll and benefits), and corporate governance requirements.
- Support intercompany transactions, transfer pricing documentation, and cross-border reporting requirements in coordination with Corporate Finance.
Procurement, Vendor & Office Oversight
- Oversee procurement activities, purchase orders, and vendor payments in accordance with company policies.
- Review and approve vendor contracts, pricing, and service levels; manage key supplier relationships.
- Liaise with building management and service providers for office facilities, maintenance, and office services.
- Ensure adequate controls over purchasing and expense management.
HR & People Operations Oversight
- Provide senior oversight of HR administration in partnership with Global People Operations, ensuring compliance with Saudi labor laws and company policies.
- Review payroll, benefits, and employee lifecycle changes from a financial and compliance perspective.
- Support workforce planning, headcount budgeting, recruiting initiatives.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a trusted finance and operations advisor, reporting to the CFO.
- Represent the Saudi entity internally and externally with professionalism, judgment, and cultural sensitivity.
- Lead or support special projects related to regional expansion, regulatory changes, or corporate initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional qualification preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive financial management experience, including responsibility for statutory reporting, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Professional finance qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA, CMA or equivalent).
- Experience in the technology or SaaS industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
- Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC, including knowledge of ZATCA, VAT, and WHT regimes.
- Experience working with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial and personnel information with discretion.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and global teams.
- Experience supporting regional or multinational corporate structures.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

A senior finance-focused leader with extensive HR experience to lead FileCloud’s regional headquarters covering financial management, HR, and operational oversight for its Saudi Arabia entity. This role has primary responsibility for country-level financial management, statutory compliance, reporting, budgeting, while also overseeing administrative, HR, and office operations to ensure full local compliance and effective day-to-day operations.
