About Eftsure
Eftsure is a fast-scaling SaaS fraud technology platform that protects B2B payments for Australian businesses through real-time vendor verification and payment protection.
In a world of evolving cybercrime, our mission is clear: help businesses never pay the wrong people.
Our vision? To be the security standard for B2B payments, supporting organisations with smarter, safer ways to transact.
About the Role
Join the team securing the future of digital payments.
At Eftsure, we’re on a mission to be the security standard for B2B payments. Our platform protects Australian businesses against payment fraud and cybercrime - in real time. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a Cloud Engineer (SRE) who’s passionate about building resilient, observable, and high-performing systems.
This role is all about reliability. You’ll design, automate, and monitor our cloud infrastructure to ensure applications and services are fast, secure, and always available. From observability tooling to incident response, you’ll help shape the engineering culture around performance, uptime, and continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
- Building and maintaining our observability stack (metrics, logs, traces, synthetic checks) to deliver meaningful insights and actionable alerts.
- Managing and evolving Eftsure’s AWS-based infrastructure for resilience, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Automating deployments and infrastructure processes, championing safe release practices (blue/green, canary).
- Partnering with product and engineering teams to design for reliability and embed SLOs/SLIs into development.
- Troubleshooting issues, conducting performance tuning, and driving root cause resolution.
- Proactively enhancing security posture and ensuring compliance with standards.
- Documenting designs, processes, and configurations to maintain clarity and consistency.
- Researching emerging technologies and best practices to keep our cloud strategy ahead of the curve.
What makes you a great fit
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS, and a track record managing highly available cloud systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of observability platforms (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Splunk).
- Proficiency in automation and scripting for infrastructure management.
- Understanding of SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and chaos engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance engineering skills.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts.
- Adaptability, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach to problem solving.
What we offer
- Birthday leave + floating cultural holiday
- A paid day to support a charity of your choice
- $250 annual wellness reimbursement
- Flexible working arrangements
- Training budget for professional development
- A high-impact, fast-growth environment where your work directly helps protect Australian businesses
