As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in Dash Social's enterprise sales motion. You are the technical product expert in the pre-sales cycle, partnering closely with Enterprise Account Executives to guide prospective customers through discovery, tailored platform demonstrations, enterprise trials, and technical evaluations.

Your primary focus is to help enterprise prospects confidently evaluate Dash Social by clearly articulating platform capabilities, differentiators, integrations, and technical value. You will lead enterprise trials, deliver customized training, and translate complex product functionality into business impact for marketing, social, and digital teams.

While this role is primarily focused on enterprise opportunities, you will also support high-value mid-market deals that require deeper technical expertise or structured trial execution.

The Sales Engineer sits at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Customer Success. Reporting to the Manager of Customer Solutions on the Customer Success team, you will be instrumental in driving new ARR through technical credibility and strategic partnership.

What you'll do

Responsibilities

Enterprise Pre-Sales Support

  • Partner with Enterprise Account Executives throughout the pre-sales cycle.
  • Lead technical discovery to understand the prospect's current tech stack, workflows, reporting needs, and integration considerations.
  • Deliver tailored, role-specific product demonstrations aligned to enterprise use cases.
  • Design and execute structured enterprise trials that clearly showcase value and differentiation.
  • Provide technical validation, including platform capabilities and data methodology.
  • Build customized trial success plans tied to measurable outcomes.
  • Monitor usage and engagement throughout trial periods and proactively adjust strategy to drive adoption.
  • Travel as needed to engage prospects directly as part of the sales cycle.
  • Support some mid-market opportunities via trial training.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the technical bridge between Sales and Product.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Product Marketing on trial insights, feature gaps, and competitive positioning.
  • Stay current on new product releases and translate updates into enterprise and mid-market value narratives.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless transition from closed-won to post-sale onboarding.

What you'll need

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate thrives in high-stakes enterprise sales environments and is comfortable balancing technical depth with executive-level communication.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales (SaaS preferred).
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to explain platform architecture, integrations, APIs, and data methodology in clear terms.
  • Exceptional presentation and demo skills with the ability to tailor messaging by role (CMO, Director of Social, Social Media Manager, etc.).
  • Experience leading structured product trials.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable flexing between enterprise complexity and mid-market velocity when required.
  • Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with virtual presentations and on-site meetings required.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a technical field is an asset.

Don't meet every qualification? Research shows that equity-deserving groups are 20% less likely to apply to jobs if they don't check every box. If this role excites you and you think you have what it takes, we encourage you to still apply. You may be the best candidate for this role.
