This gives us a unique opportunity to transform an entire category and set a new benchmark for how modern revenue teams operate.

Join us to help transform how companies around the world run revenue — and build the platform that will guide leading revenue teams into the future.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

At Clari + Salesloft, our Engineering Manager for Developer Experience will play a central role in shaping how engineers across the combined organization build, test, and ship software. You will directly manage a team of six engineers based in India, spanning DevOps, test engineering, and application development, and will serve as the primary owner of several foundational initiatives during a pivotal period in our company's growth.

This is a management role for a technically grounded leader and you will be expected to engage meaningfully with technical decisions, architecture discussions, and code reviews. You bring a strong Java background and have led engineering teams building or operating developer-facing platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, or internal productivity tooling.

You will report directly to the Sr. Engineering Manager of Developer Experience. Your job is to own the roadmap, drive execution, align stakeholders, and clear the path for your team to do their best work.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible to -

  • Directly manage six engineers across DevOps, test engineering, and application development disciplines, handling performance, growth, hiring, and team health

  • Own the delivery roadmap for the Developer Experience team's India-based workstreams, including tracking progress, managing dependencies, and communicating status to stakeholders

  • Drive CI/CD standardization across the merged Clari + Salesloft organization, owning strategy, prioritization, and cross-team alignment while partnering closely on technical execution

  • Build and maintain relationships with engineering teams across the organization to coordinate on shared infrastructure, tooling adoption, and development workflow improvements

  • Support the introduction of agentic automation into software development lifecycle workflows, while identifying and driving specific projects that increase developer productivity

  • Participate in technical discussions, architecture reviews, and design decisions at a level sufficient to guide the team, evaluate tradeoffs, and advocate effectively with stakeholders.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong technical foundation in Java and a track record of leading platform or infrastructure-focused engineering teams. You are comfortable navigating organizational complexity, building alignment across teams you do not control, and driving large, cross-functional initiatives to completion.

You lead with clarity and directness, earn trust through follow-through, and understand that your impact at this level is measured by what your team delivers and how they grow, not by your individual technical contributions.

This is a strong fit if you have operated in environments undergoing organizational change and understand how to build credibility quickly, earn the trust of engineers across multiple teams, and help a large organization move forward together with confidence and momentum.

THE TEAM:

Clari + Salesloft's Infrastructure organization builds systems and tools to enable engineering velocity in a reliable manner. We partner with engineering teams to establish standards, improve reliability, and increase cost-efficiency. This is a great opportunity to make a massive impact on scaling cloud infrastructure to meet the high demand and rapid growth of both users and workload per user.

The Developer Experience team enables Clari+Salesloft’s engineers to build, test, and deliver software efficiently and reliably by stewarding the platforms, practices, and policies that underpin the software development lifecycle from development to production. The team sets direction and establishes standards for build, test, deployment, and release workflows, supporting and empowering engineering teams by providing the tooling, frameworks, and guidance while allowing them to retain ownership of their service deployments, tests, and functional domains. You will be instrumental in laying the foundations for the tools, patterns, and practices that enable our AI and product engineering teams to build the next generation of services.

THE SKILL SET:

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience, with a track record of directly managing engineers across multiple technical disciplines

  • Strong Java background, sufficient to engage in code reviews, provide architectural guidance, and evaluate technical tradeoffs alongside your engineers; familiarity with Python, TypeScript, or Go is a plus

  • Experience managing or closely partnering with DevOps or platform engineering teams, with working knowledge of CI/CD systems, build tooling, and software delivery workflows

  • Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions at scale, including administration of GitHub organizations and management of shared CI/CD workflow patterns

  • Experience leading teams that have managed Kubernetes workloads on AWS (EKS) and/or GCP, with a working understanding of container orchestration and deployment patterns

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional technical projects as the primary owner, including stakeholder coordination, dependency management, and delivery accountability

  • Experience building alignment and driving adoption across engineering teams without direct authority, particularly in matrix or multi-org environments

  • Familiarity with Bazel or similar build systems is a strong plus; experience leading efforts to improve large-scale build infrastructure is highly valued

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted developer tooling (such as Claude or Augment) is a plus; interest in integrating agentic workflows into engineering processes is welcome

  • Clear, structured communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to represent technical work credibly to engineering and non-engineering audiences across multiple geographic regions and time zones

At Clari + Salesloft, we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone belongs and can thrive. We focus on culture add, not culture fit, and believe our teams are made stronger by the unique perspectives, experiences, and identities each person brings.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and provide employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, or any other characteristic protected by law.

If you’re excited about this role even though your experience may not perfectly match every requirement, we encourage you to apply. We are actively hiring across multiple geographies and would love to welcome passionate, curious, and mission-driven individuals to our growing team. Explore our open roles and consider joining us!
