The Data Specialist is a detail-oriented and skilled role, responsible for migrating, configuring and maintaining customer data, supporting the Implementation process and managing specific customer requests. All data received by internal and external parties is updated timely and accurately with minimal errors into our system to be used internally or by a customer. You will work on continual overall process improvement and development of training to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation process. The Data specialist will need to efficiently manage a large volume of incoming information and deliver high quality results while undertaking multiple responsibilities. Developing a skillset through self-learning and improvement to problem solve and resolve issues.
Contractor Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently processes incoming requests and questions within the established time frame based on request type
  • Review, migrate and configure customer data in a task driven manner
  • Ability to move project forward and meeting original timeline expectations a minimum of 80% of the time
  • Ability to develop or coordinate the development of tools to enhance the migration and configuration process
  • Active and consistent reporting of progress to Implementation Manager
  • Understand at a high-level how CivicPlus products work together
Contractor Requirements:
Experience
  • Possess intermediate knowledge and understanding of SQL
  • Have a familiarity with Geospatial data and map configuration
  • Familiarity with Data Migration processes from various sources (databases, CSV's, Spatial Files, API's)
  • A problem solver that thrives when working on challenges that may not necessarily have a predetermined solution
  • Ability to take on the initiative to learn and develop skillset to work through problems or tasks
  • Comfortable with performing self QA / QC to ensure a high quality of work
  • Ability to identify and build tools and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Work with implementation consultants to align data migration efforts with customer expectations and timelines
