The Senior Software Development Manager - Quality Engineering is responsible for leading a team of Quality Engineers with a specialized focus on quality assurance and test automation. This role combines the oversight of software development processes with a strong emphasis on developing and implementing robust testing strategies to ensure product quality and reliability. The manager will work closely with the Quality Assurance & Product Engineering teams to integrate quality practices into the software development lifecycle.
We’re excited to hire a new Senior Software Development Manager - Quality Engineering who can:
  • Develop and maintain an environment that fosters high standards in both product effectiveness and quality through test automation.
  • Collaborate with company leaders to develop long-term business plans and drive department strategies that align with company goals, with a focus on quality engineering.
  • Set and review the effectiveness of departmental policy and operating procedures, ensuring that quality is built into the software development process, right from the get-go.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, mentoring, and training of staff with a focus on building a strong team skilled at automating, scaling, & performance testing.
  • Work with the QA team to develop a roadmap for test automation, ensuring the team is ahead of the curve on changing technology & informed on latest advances.
  • Ensure that the software development and QA teams work in coordination to avoid duplication of efforts and to implement the most efficient test strategies.
There is no perfect candidate, but we are looking for:
    • A strong background in software engineering with a focus on quality assurance, planning & execution of enterprise-level software tests, and test automation.
    • A degree in Management, MIS, Computer Science, or a related field, or comparable business experience.
    • At least 7 years of experience in test automation with a proven track record in quality engineering.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role with a focus on test automation & quality assurance.
    • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
    • A commitment to continuous personal and team growth through training and personal development.
    • Excellent communication skills, transparency, honesty, and a collaborative mindset.
    • Driven to achieve success and excellence in product development and quality assurance.

    Compensation and Benefits:
    • Estimated Salary Range: $145,000 to $225,000 annually. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, and is based on a 40-hour work week.
