Role: Associate Product Manager

Base Salary: $80,000 - $115,000 USD

Description: Product Managers at Blackthorn are responsible for overseeing and managing the production of a product from beginning to end. You’ll do impactful work that makes a difference in the education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. This is a great opportunity for someone who is excited about a Product career to leverage their existing industry and technical knowledge to make a transition.

What you’ll do

  • Master the unique value proposition of Blackthorn apps
  • Own customer feedback channels, organizing various inputs and maintaining logical feature request categories
  • Initiate virtual discovery interviews with customers, prospects, and partners in Higher Education, Nonprofits, and Healthcare verticals for small features
  • Create product requirements documents for small features to guide Engineering efforts
  • Conduct market and competitor research under the guidance of Senior Product Manager
  • Build and maintain customer usage reports in Salesforce
  • Contribute to Marketing efforts including sales enablement documentation, customer webinar content, and blog content
  • Work closely with onboarding, customer success, support, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvements

What we look for

  • 2+ years as Salesforce power user or administrator
  • 2+ years experience with Higher Education, either as an employee or a vendor
  • 1+ years experience at a B2B SaaS company
  • Based in the continental US with a preference for remote work
  • Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency and excellent time management skills
  • Skilled at organizing complexity and communicating effectively
  • Comfortable speaking to customers individually and presenting in group settings
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Assumes good intent and treats others with kindness
