BigTime Software is looking to add a dynamic Senior DevOps Engineer to our Technology Team in our Tempe office. The individual in this role will manage code and deployment pipelines, as well as standardize deployment processes between multiple products. They will also automate manual processes and maintain and patch services in a mixed environment. BigTime software is primarily Windows with some Linux-based services as well. You will scale environments, implement best practices, collaborate with and mentor other DevOps engineers to drive a consistent architecture across all of our infrastructure and environments, and solve technical problems in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about DevOps technologies and methodologies with a service-first, pragmatic mindset for internal and external stakeholders.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of DevOps experience

  • Expert knowledge in the following areas

    • AWS administration and maintenance

    • Terraform and/or AWS CDK

    • Container technologies including AWS AppRunner, ECS and EKS

    • SQL Server, and in particular SQL Server on RDS

    • Deploying and monitoring .NET applications

    • Experience with OpenTelemetry.

    • Experience with high availability and scalable cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience with serverless architectures and collaborating with software engineers on implementing and maintaining them in production environments

  • Own all CI/CD pipelines

  • Manage and maintain upgrades, patching as needed for different services

  • Manage and maintain configuration tools

  • Programming skills in one more of the following: C#, Python, Powershell, Bash.

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with GitLab, and some Azure services

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a clear understanding of technology operating standards

  • Love writing playbooks and documenting, documenting, documenting, including owning Disaster Recovery and Incident Response playbooks.

The salary for this position is between $140,000-$160,000 annually. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation such as bonuses.
