Your Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer (UIUX) , you will be a lead Individual Contributor responsible for the development and maintenance of our web applications using React and Angular. You are the critical bridge between design and production. You won't just "receive" designs; you will collaborate with our UX Directors to ensure technical feasibility and accessibility compliance while maintaining a high bar for usability and aesthetic precision.
A Day in the Life:
- Core Engineering: Utilize advanced AI-powered development practices and tools to generate, refine, and review clean, highly performant, and maintainable code in React and Angular, focusing on complex requirements and maximum efficiency.
- UX/Engineering Bridge: Work closely with the Director of UX to implement sophisticated user interfaces, ensuring the "intent" of the design - including interaction patterns - is preserved in the final product.
- Component Mastery: Build and optimize reusable, accessible-by-default frontend components and libraries for maximum performance across various web browsers.
- Technical Strategy: Participate in consultation with the Development Lead to estimate efforts and solve complex frontend architecture challenges, such as focus management in single-page applications.
- Quality & Performance: Develop unit-testable code and leverage modern web technologies e.g., (Service Workers, Local Storage, etc.) to ensure a fast, seamless user experience.
- Proactive Problem Solving: Identify and fix UI/UX bottlenecks and bugs that impact the end-user experience.
What You’ll Need:
- AI Proficiency: Leveraging AI IDEs (e.g., Cursor) and AI-powered tools as a fundamental practice, with a proven track record of using them to consistently accelerate and enhance UI/UX development and modification.
- Experience: 8+ years of commercial software development experience in an agile environment as a strong Individual Contributor.
- Technical Skillset: Expert-level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and JavaScript, combined with proficiency in the Web Tech Stack, including Node.js, jQuery, and Web Technologies (postMessage, local storage, service workers, etc.).
- Framework Fluency: Significant experience with React and Angular. You should be comfortable working across both ecosystems.
- UX Sensibility: A strong eye for detail and the ability to empathize with the customer’s viewpoint. You understand that "done" means the feature works and it feels good to use, and it is usable by everyone.
- Design Systems Experience: Proven experience working with and contributing to Design Systems, including building reusable components, maintaining consistency across products, and collaborating closely with Design to evolve shared patterns and guidelines at scale.
- Accessible Systems: Deep understanding of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and how they apply to modern web/mobile interfaces.
- Professional Rigor: Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining high standards for code quality and documentation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the UX and Backend teams.
