The Job
The Engineering Manager is responsible for the management, development, delivery, and support of the Simpro suite of products. This is done by managing and directing the associated software development teams to deliver the strategies and achieve the goals set by the Directors and Executive Team.ClockShark, a Simpro Group subsidiary, is a leading time-tracking and scheduling platform built specifically for construction, field service, and trades businesses.
What You’ll Do
Foster productive, engaged, and positive team dynamics to maintain low staff turnover and absenteeism
Track the progress of sprints, releases, and deadlines; adjust and reassign team members as needed
Coordinate cross-departmental needs and timelines to ensure smooth and timely delivery
Align release dates and major milestones with business goals and dependencies
Support Development Team Leads with scheduling, resource allocation, and planning
Define and refine functional requirements in collaboration with product and business stakeholders
Set and manage delivery timeframes with clarity and accountability
Champion software quality and agile best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Provide mentorship and career development guidance to engineering team members
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in engineering leadership roles within SaaS or product-focused organizations
Strong technical background, including hands-on experience with .NET and related technologies
A solid understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to lead distributed development teams and deliver complex software projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for cross-functional collaboration
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
A growth mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and team development
